The challenge
As part of its long term charitable goals, the Goldsmiths' Company recognised the potential for online learning to extend the scope and reach of its face-to-face teaching, engaging more frequently with a wider audience in the UK and beyond.
Mindful of its reputation for operating to the highest standards, Goldsmiths' turned to Learning with Experts to develop its first online course.
The solution
This course formed part of a blended professional training programme and was designed to help jewellers at an early stage in their career to prepare for and attend face to face selling events. Learning with Experts worked with Goldsmiths' to plan and then develop a complex course which involved dozens of contributors.
The course is hosted in a private environment that is only accessible to the Goldsmiths' students. It guides participants through the process of selecting, planning for, running, following up and then reflecting on a face-to-face selling event.
The results
This course has allowed Goldsmiths' to validate the potential for high quality online learning to sit alongside its existing provision and has informed its strategy for developing its training offering.
